Since first deciding to make producing and DJing his full time career, Frankfurt-born, Berlinbased house and techno producer Emanuel Satie had been steadily picking up steam with straight to dancefloor hits on DTFD, Get Physical and Gruuv, plus a stunning remix on The 2 Bears ‘The Night Is Young’ remix LP, which led him to be featured in Resident Advisor’s top charted tracks of the year in 2015. But things were only just warming up for Emanuel. 2016 saw him burst into the spotlight with a consistent string of successful releases. His rework of Late Nite Tuff Guy’s remix of DJ Le Roi & Roland Clark’s I Get Deep hit number 1 in the Beatport overall chart. Further original productions also achieved notable Beatport chart success. Come As You Are, his debut single on Nic Fancuilli’s Saved Records was an intoxicating first outing for the label and found favour with many leading jocks across multiple genres, and sat in the top 5 ‘most Shazammed tracks in Ibiza’ chart for most of the summer – a testament to Satie’s ability to the most discerning floor – and which led him to be named Best Producer at the DJ Awards, an acclaim previously won by such luminaries as Maceo Plex and Solomun, 2017 saw further admiration from Satie’s fans and peers alike with strong releases on Moon Harbour, Knee Deep In Sound and a follow up single on Saved finding it’s way into a multitude of tastemaker DJs boxes. A killer remix for Claptone followed soon after raising the young producer’s cache still further. 2018 has seen Emanuel continue to push his production skills, and his recent release ‘Don’t Forget To Go Home featuring Billy Cobham’ burst into the public eye at Miami Music Week when Pete Tong made it his MMW Essential New Tune. Since then it’s just gathered pace, leading to it being one of the tunes of the Summer on the island of Ibiza this summer. Soon after, his Body Language compilation dropped on Get Physical (a special celebratory 20th edition), to critical acclaim, and an EP was released on Crosstown rebels cementing still further his place as a heavyweight of the scene. More recently a collaborative release with the legend that is Pete Tong which has seen impressive streaming numbers on Spotify, and releases just out on Knee Deep in Sound and another on Crosstown rebels, plus his Summer smash Planet XXX on Cocoon, demonstrate still further than Emanuel Satie is a man on the move.
